Shire Horse Section Application / Entry Form

NO HORSE BOXES WILL BE ALLOWED ACCESS ONTO THE SHOW GROUND BEFORE 7.00am Due to limited parking facilities ALL box drivers are obliged to co-operate with the parking stewards. The Committee reserves the right to refuse entry to those who do not co-operate. Shire Horse Box parking in reserved areas. ALL EXHIBITORS MUST HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE ALL EQUINES MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A LEGAL AND CURRENTLY VALID PASSPORT. EQUINE FLU – All equines attending Penistone Agricultural Show must have been vaccinated for Equine Influenza. The requirement for the first 3 vaccinations is as follows: First 2 vaccinations 21 – 92 days apart; Third booster between 150 – 215 days; Annual booster vaccination within 365 days thereafter. No equine should enter competitions within 7 days of an El vaccination. Foals should commence vaccinations at 6 months old. All owners are urged to adhere to strict biosecurity protocols at all times. Please have vaccination certificates and passports available for random checks on the showground. If any horse/pony’s health raises cause for concern, the show Vet will be asked to examine the animal and their decision will be final. Please DO NOT leave your horse/pony unattended whilst tethered to your box. Unaccompanied competitors must provide the Horse Section Secretary with a contact telephone number in case of an emergency.

ALL EXHIBITORS WILL BE EMAILED AN E-TICKET FOR ENTRY TO THE SHOW.

We are a volunteer-led charity with a positive attitude. We expect our staff and the public to treat one another with politeness and mutual respect. Nobody should be subjected to violent, threatening or abusive behaviour. Anybody falling below this expectation will be asked to leave.
