I had a great time last week helping the Penistone Show and other community partners celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday at the lighting of the Penistone beacon. The weather was very kind to us and as a result we had some 1500 people come along to the show field to help us celebrate. We had various activities there for children along with music acts, a BBQ, cake stalls and a bar. It was great fun.
I was there along with our pig mascot Betty and her sister Lola. The children loved getting in to the pen with them to say hello. I also took some new lambs with me for the children to meet. You can see me with one of them here.
I had a strange delivery this week! I’d ordered 1000 new bees and they were delivered by post! I’m so glad that the packaging wasn’t damaged in the post before it arrived.
